Roar for Your Candidate: Young Voices Crown the Next King of the Jungle

We were back on the campaign trail again this week - this time in Radipole Primary School in Weymouth, working with an absurdly talented group of Year 4 pupils. There was a power vacuum in the forest - the king was missing, and it was up to us to elect a new leader. We honed our persuasive skills and finessed our draft speeches until our audience couldn’t help but vote for our chosen candidate. We were extremely impressed with the persuasive and reasoned arguments, and occasional podium thumping rhetoric that these future leaders were able to produce.

Many thanks to Ms Probert and Miss Cartwright for facilitating the workshops, as well as to our volunteer mentors Raja, Vicki, Amber, David and Lizzie for being such excellent supporters and writing mentors.

Keep an eye out for these guys in the future. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we saw  a few of these faces running for parliament in a few years time.
