Lost Sheep - The Game
Who doesn’t love a card game. Simple, fun, portable and they never need charging!
We have had a brilliant time over the last few weeks at Salway Ash Primary, working with the whole school on creating a school specific card game. Working from Reception right through to Year 6, we asked the pupils to write short memories of their time at the school that related to the school’s Visions and Values. Each of the values became a suit (Respect, Hope, Perseverance, Compassion and Joy), with each child taking responsibility for one of the cards. Of course, no card game would be complete without some wild cards and so, to complete each set, you can use a Lost Sheep card in place of one of the other suits - if you can find it.
The game is great to play and with every child in the school represented, it made for a fun fortnight of memories and writing.
The cards were beautifully illustrated by the amazing Emily Stewart and we are very grateful to her for lending us her incredible talents.
And, as always, this project would not have been possible without the help of our team of Marvellous Mentors. These fantastic people volunteer their time to support the young people in their writing, and we can’t thank them enough. If you fancy playing, pop into Salway Ash next time you’re passing and challenge them to a game. But watch out for the card sharps.
