Holidays of Dreams & Nightmares!

Imagine your perfect holiday…and now your worst.

Over the summer, we were lucky enough to work with a fantastic bunch of budding comic-book artists, to bring some of these vacation nightmares to life, in a graphic novel, due for release shortly.

With the summer break looming, we really enjoyed working with the team from Dorset Youth on their holiday dreams and nightmares. We worked for a morning with the ever brilliant Milla Scott-Buller, to create some comics outlining our hopes and fears for the perfect summer holiday. The morning was hilarious, and it was a real joy to work with such creative young people, all of whom let their imaginations just run riot! The team from Dorset Youth were brilliant - supportive and flexible - and really let the young people create the comic that they wanted to write. While some imagined their holiday as a sun-kissed paradise, many of them also envisaged terrifying theme park rides, haunted destinations and even resorts bringing on the robot apocalypse!

Huge thanks to the staff at the Bovington Tank museum for hosting the morning, for their expertise and generosity - what a brilliant location to work in. Massive thanks also goes to Kate Parish from the Dorset Youth team for coordinating and corralling such a super bunch of comic book authors and artists. We can’t work wait to come and work with the team again.
