Bank of Dreams & Nightmares visits Berättarministeriet

Bank staff had a fantastic few days in Sweden last week, attending a conference with some of our sister organisations from around the world. Hosted by the amazing Berättarministeriet , Stockholm, the three day conference brought together a variety of children’s writing charities from three continents to swap ideas, discuss challenges and share inspirational projects.

To be amongst individuals and organisations as committed to championing young writers as we are was wonderful. We were able to spend some time getting to see how other charities run their sessions, plan their projects and work with their schools, teachers and youth groups. We were able to share working practices, plan collaborations and exchange ideas with some truly incredible people.

The work that is being done across the globe is genuinely inspirational and we flew home with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to these creative working practices. Above all we were blown away by the work that the young people in each of these countries is doing thanks to these organisations.

A massive ‘thank you’ to Lovisa, Sanna, Maria and all of the team for their hospitality, their commitment and their joy. We cannot wait to visit Sweden again!
