Myth-behaving. Radipole Pupils create new Greek legends

Gods, demi-gods, monsters, mortals, and thin skinned deities interfering in the affairs of humans. The themes and tropes of the classic greek tales were the starting point for our new story anthology project featuring a host of Year 6 writers from Radipole Primary School. Over three weeks, we created brand new myths that told epic tales, taught us how to behave, or explained away some area of baffling natural phenomena.

Our legends introduced new heroes, gods and creatures to the world, as well as featuring some very famous characters from previously existing myths. These myths covered everything from the wrath of Zeus and the return of Medusa’s sister, to ordinary humans facing off against gods, outsmarting the lords of the underworld, or even being given superpowers. Keep your eyes open for the published book, coming very soon.

Enormous thanks to our volunteer team - Tansy, David, Lizzie, Diana, Jon, Andrea and Ambs - for all their support as well as to our brilliant illustrator and all the staff at Radipole Primary.
